Michael Conforto will be back in 2023.
The lefty-hitting outfielder agreed to a two-year, $36 million deal with the Giants on Friday, The Post’s Jon Heyman confirmed. The deal includes an opt-out after the first season and is pending a physical.
USA Today first reported the deal.
Conforto, 29, did not play in 2022 after an injury to his right shoulder in January necessitated surgery. He became a free agent after declining the Mets’ $18.4 million qualifying offer.
Over seven seasons with the Mets, Conforto hit .255 with 132 home runs, 396 RBIs and an .824 OPS, earning an All-Star nod in 2017.
The Giants have had a rough time wrangling free agents so far this offseason, with Aaron Judge deciding to return to the Yankees and Carlos Correa’s deal falling apart after a “difference of opinion” on a physical (he later signed with the Mets). Conforto, however, should give their lineup some juice.
